Hydrovacs provide the industry with safety benefits and cost effectiveness when working in built-up facilities and around pipelines. Today, many producers and contractors will specify that hydrovacs must perform any excavations around buried infrastructures.

The industrial and petroleum industries place tremendous importance on safety and the integrity of underground infrastructure. Hand exposing or Hydrovac excavation is generally required prior to machine excavation.

For plant and facility maintenance, 's Hydrovac trucks can provide peace of mind when excavating around high-pressure lines in tight, congested areas. Each of 's Hydrovac units is manufactured for efficiency, thereby increasing production rates and lowering costs on most maintenance projects.

During new construction and installations, Hydrovacs can be used to expose pipeline crossings of conflicting facilities. Quite often, new plants or compressors are built on top of old facilities where the extent and location of underground lines is unknown. Slot trenching and pre-dug piling holes (up to 30 feet deep) can verify the existence, depth and orientation of buried infrastructure.

's Hydrovacs minimize costly incidents involving pipeline damage and worker safety.

Hurricane Hydro-Vac Selection Guide

Hydrovac excavation is a mechanical means of using water to break up earth, simultaneously removed by a powerful vacuum. When utilized properly the method is a safe, non destructive means of excavation. As the underground distribution network becomes increasing complex the cost to employ a hydrovac is extremely affordable when compared to hydraulic equipment and the potential for fatalities, cost to repair damaged plant and possible fines to recover loss of service.

Hydrovac excavation is a proven method that, to date, has not incurred injuries, utility damage or loss of service. In general, hydrovac excavations either expose a utility or remove earth in close proximity to a utility. An example of exposing the utility would be daylighting or potholing a gas main to determine its exact vertical and horizontal position, also known as Quality Level A in the field of Subsurface Utility Engineering. An example of the second general use of hydro-vaccing would be an excavation for a pole installation that is within one meter of an existing utility. When excavating in the proximity of buried utilities, hydro vaccing is a safe alternative to hydraulic methods and an efficient alternative to hand digging.

Truck & Trailer MFG LLC presents Hydro Excavation Hydrovac

Truck & Trailer MFG LLC has spent years developing the best dedicated hydrovac in the industry, and we are proud of our claim. Operators who choose Hydrovac Trucks for their fleet never go back to other manufacturers once they recognize the difference a Hydrovac Truck  makes on their job site.

Hydrovac Trucks are powerful, rugged and most important… simple. We understand that operators rely on user-friendly equipment to perform in the field with minimal downtime. That’s how we designed them. All working components are easily accessible for visual inspection and routine maintenance. And most parts are readily available – not special order from the manufacturer.
